Purpose of Form :

To classify an alien orphan who either is, or will be, adopted by a U.S. citizen as an immediate relative of the U.S. citizen to allow the child to enter the United States. The petition is filed by the U.S. citizen who is adopting the child.

Filing Fee :

$720. (No fee is required if you are filing based on an approved I-600A filed within the previous 18 months. An $85 fee for biometrics services is required for each person 18 years of age or older who is living with the applicant. See the form instructions for full payment details.)

Special Instructions :

  • USCIS now requires that the Home Study be submitted with your Form I-600 application, if it was not previously submitted with your Form I-600A application.
  • When more than one petition is submitted by the same petitioner for orphans who are siblings, only one set of petition and fingerprinting fees is required. When more than one petition is submitted for orphans who are not siblings, the filing and bio-metrics fees must be included for each petition.
